| Do we wash ourselves too much?
|
| We are always being told to wash often to avoid spreading germs and to keep track of our personal hygiene. I know people that a shower first thing in the morning and another after work. You could be concerned about dead skin cells building up on the surface of the skin, they also have the potential to block sweat glands, which can result in white heads. On the positive side the dead skin cells have the potential to act as a barrier to absorb the nutrients from nourishing creams. |
I personally think we wash our skin too much and we sometimes pay consequences for it. Our skin is the perfect breeding ground for dirt, germs and bacteria. We will never be completely clean. I recommend having a bath 3-4 times a week and clean your genitals, bottom and armpits everyday. Your skin should only be exposed water for maximum of 10 minutes at lukewarm temperature, otherwise your skin will lose essential oils.
You will certainly notice a different in your skin, as the essential oils remain in your skin and you will realize you do not need a bath/shower everyday to maintain good personal hygiene.
