Opening Pores

Opening Pores

Can opening your pores be good or bad for your skin?

Opening your pores has great benefits if you do it properly. If you do it wrong, your skin can go disastrously wrong. Your skin can go dry, itchy and rashy within minutes.

If you use cold water, your pores will close. Your skin will absorb very little, which is ideal for people with eczema. You want to keep your pores close, to avoid any bacteria entering the skin cells.

Warm water will open your pores. You want to avoid this if you are washing in the bath or washing your face. Tap water contains many irritants you are not aware of, and your just inviting them to make your life a misery.

How can I achieve the benefits of opening my pores?

There is one way to open your pores, which will allow your skin to absorb essential oils, and have a rapid impact on your skin. You have to do this technique before you go to bed, to have maximum affect on your skin. Sleeping allows your cells to work with the essential oils more effectively. You are using 100% pure evaporated water that will only give your skin a boost. The steamy vapour that hits your face will produce pure water, which is called condensate.

Here is a step-by-step guide:

   1. Put your head over a bowl of steamy hot water. Make sure you put a towel over your head.

   2. Leave your head over the hot bowl for two minutes, to allow the warm water vapour to open your pores.

   3. Pat dry your face and apply Repcillin, Aloe Vera or anything else that contains essential oils.

   4. You need to wait for a minute, and then you need to apply a thick greasy ointment to trap the essential oils in your skin. You can use Vaseline or Tri Cream. I started using Tri Cream a few days ago and the results have been very good.

This technique can be useful if you have a sudden flare-up and you have an important meeting the next day or the day after. The steroid cream will absorb into the skin quicker.
