Don't waste your money!

Find out which products are the best value for money and your skin

I know how frustrating it can be wasting your hard earned money on expensive products that don't work. Many eczema sufferers don't realize that you don't have to spend much money to treat your eczema. Everything from bath products to ointments, these products are cheap and I personally think they are the best products to use. We try desperately to look for natural alternatives to solve the problem, which only gives us a ticket to square one. You should look for products that contain very limited ingredients, because you don't need preservatives and other ingredients that irritate your skin.

I have lost count how many times I have seen Liquid Paraffin or White Soft Paraffin on various products. The odd thing is, that is all you need. You don't need to spend more money for all the extra ingredients because they are useless and the product will irritate your skin.

Here is a list of cheap products you can buy online or from your local chemist:

Vaseline

Vaseline acts as a barrier and will trap moisture in the skin. Always use before bed and after you have a bath or shower.

£1.99

Johnson Baby Oil

Johnson acts as a barrier and will trap moisture in on wet skin. Always use straight after a bath or a shower on wet skin and pat dry. Leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

£2.99

50% Liquid Paraffin & White Soft Paraffin

This will act as a barrier and will trap moisture in the skin. If you find Vaseline too thick and greasy, I recommend using 50% Liquid Paraffin & White Soft Paraffin.

Cradle Cap Shampoo is a very scalp friendly shampoo, which is most commonly use on babies. If it's fine for babies, it's fine for you.

£6.49

I use all these products most weeks, and my skin feels great and I don't need to spend much money. You may think, I have tried these products and they haven't worked. That is because you didn't make full use of these products. I urge you to give these products another chance because it will benefit your pocket and your skin.
