Yorktest (Food Intolerance Test)

The food you eat could be making you ill and could me the major cause towards your skin condition.

You are probably having common flare ups once or twice a week, but cannot exactly put your finger on what is causing these symptoms.

I used to have a flare up, headaches every week and it got so bad I was actually prescribed oral steroids to calm the inflammation of my skin. My skin looked more like hives than eczema. I knew it was a food allergy and I experimented leaving out certain foods for a month, but my condition did not improve a great a deal. I decided to take the 113 food scan Yorktest.

YorkTest Laboratories is a food intolerance and allergy testing company located in York, England.

There is a two step process, the first one is to identify if you have a food intolerance that may be causing your symptoms through a finger prick blood sample. After you place your order you will receive a test kit in the post which contains everything you need to take your own blood sample. You then need to post your sample in pre paid packaging to the Yorktest Laboratories for analysis. Your results will be posted to you within ten working days.

When you receive your test results, you will get the following:

1) Test Results (4 most reaction, 0 no reaction)

2) One year free membership to Allergy UK

3) Results guidebook which includes foods that are part of the same food family (for example eggs are in the same family as chicken, peafowl, quail and pheasant).

4) Food Diary to keep track of what you are eating and how you are feeling.

5) You will receive two telephone calls from a BANT qualified Nutritionist.

I tried leaving out cows milk, eggs, potatoes and carrots and I notice a dramatic improvement in my skin and how I feel after two weeks. My skin did not have any rashes and I did not feel as lethargic as I use to. I tried to reintroduce milk and eggs to my diet, but I was not successful. My skin flare up again after two days and I immediately eliminated these foods from my diet. I am fine with potatoes and carrots, they showed up as low reactions.

I highly recommend taking the Yorktest test, if you have a frequent skin rash or you're feeling fatigue all the time.   It has saved me a lot hassle, thinking about whether my skin will flare up the next day and money on prescription drugs.
